American Legion Baseball

The American Legion baseball program . . . second to none:  every year, over 100 American Legion baseball teams compete in sectional, regional, and state tournament play within the State of Illinois.  Comprised of high school players, under the direction, coaching, and sponsorship of American Legion members. The American Legion Baseball Program does stress winning, but more importantly, stresses the importance of good sportsmanship, fair play and teamwork.

BASEBALL COMMITTEE of The American Legion shall promote The American Legion Baseball program and shall coordinate schedules of District, Division and Department tournaments. It shall actively participate in interpretation of the Baseball Rules and Regulations pertaining to Post and District and Division play.

  •  District: July 16—July 20
  •  Division: July 22—July 26
  •  State Senior Legion: July 28—July 31 at 11:00 a.m. (Alton High School)
  •  Banquet: July 27
  •  State Junior Legion: August 2—5 (Wheaton Post 76)
  •  Great Lakes Regional: August 8—12 (Napoleon, OH  Post 300)
  •  World Series: August 16—21 (Shelby, NC)
