Post Permanent Charter Guidelines
NOTE: THE POST HAS A 90 DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD BEFORE THEY ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A PERMANENT CHARTER.
The application must be filled out in triplicate then signed and dated by the
1. After the probationary period has passed, the Post can fill out the application for a permanent charter. The application must be filled out in triplicate then signed and dated by the Post Commander and Adjutant.
2. After that step has been done, the Post can then forward the application to their Department Headquarters for approval. The application must be signed and dated on all three copies by the Department Commander before it is forwarded to National.
NOTE: THE NAME THE POST LISTS ON THEIR PERMANENT APPLICATION WILL BE THE LEGAL NAME OF THE POST.
**REMEMBER, a permanent charter name can be changed, BUT NOT on a TEMPORARY CHARTER**
